Barys Lost to Salavat

In the second game of their home series, Barys hosted Salavat Yulaev.

The Astana team had the advantage early in the game, but two consecutive penalties forced the hosts to focus on defense for a while. Barys managed to hold out while short-handed, but 36 seconds before the first intermission, the visitors capitalized on a mistake — Devin Brosseau opened the scoring.

Salavat extended their lead midway through the game thanks to Alexander Zharovsky.

A strong solo effort by Dinmukhamed Kaiyrzhan brought Barys back into the game, but the home team couldn’t do more than that.

On November 7, Mikhail Kravets’ team will face Avtomobilist on home ice.
