Barys turns 25! Team Records

The countdown to the 25th anniversary of Barys begins! Here are the most significant facts and events in the club's history.

Throughout its time in the KHL, Barys has made the playoffs 12 times and won the Chernyshev Division three times. The capital's team has also advanced to the second round of the Gagarin Cup three times.

93 Points is the highest total Barys has earned in a single regular season. During the 2014–2015 season, when the KHL still used a three-point system, the team from Astana secured 24 regulation wins, 2 overtime victories, and 4 shootout wins in 60 games. Additionally, they earned points in 9 other games despite losing outside of regulation time.

190 Goals were scored by Barys in their most productive regular season in history. This record was set over 62 games in the 2018–2019 season.

Biggest Win: On September 8, 2013, under head coach Ari-Pekka Selin, Barys achieved their most decisive KHL victory, defeating Severstal 10–1 at home. Brandon Bochenski and Nigel Dawes each scored twice, while current players Roman Starchenko and Mikhail Rakhmanov also contributed a goal apiece.

Highest-Scoring Game: On January 4, 2009, Barys emerged victorious in a spectacular 11–6 clash with Vityaz. Konstantin Glazachev and Gennady Stolyarov each scored twice in that unforgettable match.

Fastest Two Goals: On December 5, 2015, against Medveščak, Barys set a record by scoring two goals in just 7 seconds, with Nigel Dawes and Brandon Bochenski finding the net.

Fastest Three Goals: This incredible feat occurred during a memorable game against Salavat Yulaev on September 5, 2017. Barys stunned their opponents by scoring three goals in the final minute of the game, taking just 46 seconds to overturn the match and claim victory.

To mark Barys' birthday, a special event will take place on November 24 during the game against Avangard. The celebration will feature a performance by Kairat Nurtas!
