The Astana side concludes their October road trip with a matchup against Chelyabinsk’s Belye Medvedi.
The hosts return home after a road game against Stalnye Lisy in Magnitogorsk, where they suffered a 1:4 defeat. Janusz Kheibatov scored the only goal for the visitors. Prior to that, Dmitry Shulga’s team hosted Sputnik from Almetyevsk and came out on top with a 5:3 win. The goals in that game came from Artur Gataullin, Alexander Kovalenko, Janusz Kheibatov, Roman Kozhevnikov, and Leonid Kolodiy.
Ahead of the clash with Barsy, Belye Medvedi sit 6th in the Gold Division standings with 16 points from 14 games.
Snezhnye Barsy, on the other hand, played two road games in Khanty-Mansiysk and Balashikha. Against Mamonty Yugry, only Ruslan Tusupbekov managed to find the back of the net, with the game ending 1:3 in favor of the hosts. In Balashikha, the start was promising — Roman Dvurechensky scored twice in the opening frame — but three early goals conceded in the second period decided the outcome in favor of the home team.
Currently, Anton Vasin’s team sits at the bottom of the Silver Division standings, having earned just 6 points in 18 games.
