Before starting their road trip, the Novosibirsk team wrapped up a home series against the Astana club, winning both games. In the first matchup, Snezhnye Barsy were unable to offer any resistance in an 11–0 loss to Anton Vasin’s squad. In the second game, the Snaipery edged out a 3–2 win, with Yegor Kosachyov on the scoresheet and Yegor Gusev scoring twice. For Snezhnye Barsy, goals were scored by Timur Mindubayev and Alexander Makarov, ending the Novosibirsk team’s shutout streak.

Heading into the matchup with the Astana side, Sibirskie Snaipery sit fourth in the Eastern Silver Division with 38 points from 33 games. Yegor Gusev, with 15 points (8 goals, 7 assists), leads the team in scoring over the last five games.

Snezhnye Barsy, meanwhile, closed out 2025 with two road games in Krasnoyarsk against Krasnoyarskie Rysi. In the first contest, the Astana team earned a 3–2 win, snapping a 13-game losing streak. The goals were scored by Asanaly Ruslanuly and Tair Bigarinov. For Bigarinov, it was a special night — he scored his first goal in the league and recorded his first career two-goal game. In the second matchup, with the score 0–1, the Rysi played more confidently and did not allow the visitors to extend their winning run.

At the moment, the Astana side sits at the bottom of the Silver Division standings with 9 points from 30 games. Tair Bigarinov, with 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist), has been the team’s leading scorer over the last five games.
