Today, the Astana-based Snezhnye Barsy played their final home game of September, hosting Avto Yekaterinburg. Alexander Perkin opened the scoring for the home side, but Maxim Velikov quickly equalized and then gave the visitors the lead.
In the second period, Leonid Ivanov and Dmitry Tokmakov extended Avto’s advantage, while Perkin responded with his second goal of the game — marking his second brace in just three MHL appearances this season. Later in the frame, Karim Kazhibekov received a 5+20-minute penalty for slashing and was ejected from the game.
The third period saw Avto take full control. Aituar Nurzhanov scored for Snezhnye Barsy, but the visitors sealed the win thanks to Lavr Gashilov’s double and Maxim Velikov’s four-goal performance.
Next, Anton Vasin’s team will open their October home series with a two-game set against Tyumensky Legion on October 7 and 8.
