In the second game of the roadstand series, Barys beat Avtomobilist in a shootout and broke their losing streak.
Dinmukhamed Kaiyrzhan and Vsevolod Logvin were left out of the application for the match. Their places in the lineup were taken by Alexander Borisevich and Ruslan Ospanov, who was playing his debut game in the Kontinental Hockey League.
Mikhail Rakhmanov opened the scoring midway through the opening period. The Barys forward arranged his own one-on-one with the puckstopper and calmly capitalized on his chance. However, the joy of the guests was short-lived. Four minutes later Andrei Obidin blocked a shot on the far post. The audience waited more than 20 minutes of game time for the next goal. Maxim Musorov got into a good position and made Evgeny Alikin capitulate with a scathing shot for the second time. At the very beginning of the third period, Anatoly Golyshev again equalized the scoreboard, which lasted until the shootout.
Astana players were more successful. Accurate shots by Kirill Savitski and Mikhail Rakhmanov, along with confident play on the last line by Edward Pasquale, allowed Barys to break its losing streak. On November 4, Galym Mambetaliyev's wards will play Ak Bars in Kazan.
