After the match Barys – Avtomobilist (1:4) a press conference was held with the Head Trainers of both teams.

- We knew that nothing was pressing on Barys, they'd play actively for their fans. It's great that boys performed according to the game plan. Somewhere we played strictly, somewhere we attacked. Good goals were scored. Artyom Kashtanov scored his first goal in the KHL, congrats. Young fellas are progressing this year. As for the pattern of the game itself, we had great blocking and defense, but we were a little bit unsuccessful on the power play. We'll tighten up that component. I would like to thank the guys once again for the attitude to the game.

- The team played exemplary outfield today, a good run for the playoffs?

- During the entire championship we played well short-handed. Not for nothing are we top of the table in short-handed play. And it means a lot in the playoffs...psychology. It's great that there's some pattern to the game, but it's mostly psychology.

- There's not much to comment on here. The rival had the initiative. Our ridiculous mistakes that we make time after time in every game lead to goals and defeat. The fourth goal today was certainly telling, like a acid test. Should've scored here, missed there. Not enough reserve, as I've always said. We have two injured on the roster again, Savitski and Shalapov. We asked our guys to start the home series with a victory, but unfortunately, it happened the way it happened.

- Why didn't you decide to replace Pasquale with Shutov?

- Basically, Pasquale was playing fine, only a ridiculous second goal. And the way he kept the game going, the opponent took 44 shots. The first goal was a defenseman's mistake on the way out of the zone, misdirected the attack. Third goal - again not taken out, again the defenseman did not respond for his sector. The fourth goal, you saw for yourself. We've got to score there, we get a mistake, we get a break at the blue line, and that's it. We have no particular complaints about our puckstoppers.

- Barys has just two home games remaining. At this point, are there any candidates you want to extend your contract with for next season?

- Certain players are. We said the final games would affect the ongoing contracts. It's in their hands, how they show up, how they perform, that's the starting point.
