In the second game of the home series, Barys outplayed Dynamo Moscow in a shootout.

Instead of Maxim Musorov, Kirill Savitsky returned to the line-up. Edward Pasquale took over the number one position from the first minute. Barys opened the scoring in the fourth minute of the game. Roman Starchenko snagged the puck in the other team's zone and found Adil Beketayev at the blue line, who scored his first goal of the season a second later. Dynamo responded on the first power play. Jordan Weal's shot was unassailable. In the middle of the period, Riley Barber broke his goal drought, who set the stage for the home team's counterattack.

The spectators saw the next goal at the end of the second period. The visitors took advantage of the near bench, after which Nikita Gusev found himself in a killing position. The Muscovites' leader didn't let his team down. The final third went without any goals. The overtime remained scoreless as well. In the shootout, the home team was more accurate, realising three shots. Edward Pasquale made 30 saves. On 13 October, Astana will host Lokomotiv on home ice.
