A press conference with participation of head coaches was held after the match Barys - Metallurg (3:4 ОТ).

Andrey Razin, Head Coach of Metallurg

- It's a day game today. It's off to a very bad start. The first period was terrible, a lot of deflections in passes. There were a lot of losses in the middle zone. The second goal shook us up a bit, there was nowhere to retreat. Next we played well, broke, won. A miserable mistake led to a conceded goal, but I told the guys well done. We played with confidence from here on out. Of course, in overtime we were lucky when the puck hit the crossbar. But you're lucky if you're lucky.

- We cannot help but ask about the performance of Nikita Mikhailis and Maxim Mukhametov, who moved from Barys system in the summer. How do you rate them?

- There's also Valera Orekhov. Michailis had one of his best games of the season tonight, I believe. Both on the goal plus pass result and the game itself. Valera played well today too. Though, the puck slipped off twice, just a little bit of one-on-zero in our goal. It's a good thing he worked out. I wish Max would have more confidence. After all, he is more in the rotation, I would like to see him in the centre.

- Today we tuned the guys for a good game, for a win. We started well, the second period - we got penalties. Missed a goal. We started to make mistakes, maybe a little lack of concentration. At some point you have to play easier, be patient, but that comes with time. When one makes mistakes, the most important thing is to draw conclusions from his mistakes. People don't learn from other people's mistakes, only from their own. In principle, there are no complaints about anyone's commitment. We played well, could have won in overtime. Didn't score at zero, hit the bar. When you don't score, your opponents do.

- What did you say to the team after the defeat?

- Quickly forget this defeat and move on. If we lose heart after every defeat and think about sad things, there will be no future.

- There were nearly eight thousand spectators today. How do you like the atmosphere at the match?

- Thanks to the fans for supporting and backing the team in every situation. The guys realize this, and even noted today that a lot of people came. When we started to lose, we went forward, the guys got motivated.

- In the third period, we changed the lines and it worked. How likely is it that we'll see new combinations in the next few games?

- Switching the line up isn't always necessary either, you just have to look at the condition of each one. You can change somewhere point by point for a while. Someone could be brought to their senses through the training process. If you change, you need to change to someone who can step it up, not just swap. We switched to three lineups. We looked at who was falling out, who was more tired. That's why the fresher ones were put in. And it had its effect.
