Barys Suffer Third Consecutive Defeat

In their final game of September, Barys faced Ak Bars on the road. The Astana coaching staff made some changes to the defensive pairings and dressed Abzal Alibek as the 13th forward. Andrei Shutov started in goal.

The first period was played at a fast pace, with Barys holding a slight edge in terms of scoring chances. The visitors capitalized on one of their opportunities, as Vsevolod Logvin found the far corner of Timur Bilyalov's net with a precise shot following a lobbed pass from Logan Day.

The second period belonged to the hosts, who scored three quick goals and forced Barys' coaching staff to bring Hunter Shepard into the game. Dmitry Katelevsky, Grigory Denisenko and Mitchell Miller added to their scoring tallies for the Kazan side. Kirill Semyonov put the finishing touch on the game by scoring into Barys' empty net.

On October 2, Mikhail Kravets' side will face Neftekhimik in Nizhnekamsk.
