Barys Edge Dinamo Minsk by a Single Goal

Minsk was the next stop on Barys’ nine-game road trip. The Astana coaching staff made changes to every forward line, while Kirill Lyapunov, Asanali Sarkenov and Beibarys Orazov returned to the lineup.

The hosts held a slight advantage over the first two periods, while Barys created most of their dangerous chances on the counterattack. It was the visitors who opened the scoring: Semyon Simonov found himself in a good shooting position, and the young forward made the most of his opportunity. His goal ultimately proved decisive. Dinamo launched a fierce attack in the closing stages, but Barys held firm, led by the returning Andrei Shutov. The goaltender recorded his third shutout of the season, making 28 saves.

On October 30, Mikhail Kravets’ team will face the Dragons in St. Petersburg.
