Barys has signed a one-way contract with Jake Massie, valid for one season until May 31, 2026.
The Canadian defenseman was drafted by the Carolina Hurricanes in 2015, but his best seasons came within the Washington Capitals system. As a member of the Hershey Bears, Massie won the Calder Cup twice. Last season, Jake played 23 games in the AHL, recording two goals and two assists.
