Today, the Astana squad played its second game of the Kazakhstan Championship Finals against Saryarka. Konstantin Pushkaryov’s team secured a convincing 5–2 victory.
Just like in the previous game, the visitors came out strong, with Danila Karaban opening the scoring. However, the Nomads quickly responded through Vsevolod Logvin. Artem Likhotnikov then put Karaganda back in front, but in the second period, Timur Mindubayev tied it up with a goal from a sharp angle.
After that, team captain Sayan Daniyar scored shorthanded to give the Astana side the lead. In the final period, Kirill Lyapunov added a fourth, and Gleb Reshetko sealed the win with an empty-net goal.
The series now shifts to Karaganda, where the next games will be played on April 5 and 7.
