Results of Barys performance by SportQory

Let's summarize Barys' performance in the KHL regular season 2023/24. This column was prepared with the participation of the club's partner - Tourism and Sports Industry Support Fund CF.

Barys has 21 wins this season (12 in regulation time, 4 in overtime and 5 in shootouts). In eight more meetings the Astana players scored points. Thus, the Kazakh team earned 50 points.

Barys has scored 137 goals in 68 meetings (2.01 goals per game average). The team has a 205 puck possession (3.01 average).

Astana's biggest win of the season came on September 18, when Barys defeated Neftekhimik 8-0 on home ice.

The most productive Kazakhstan game is also associated with Neftekhimik. On September 25, Barys won in overtime in Nizhnekamsk with a score of 6:5. In this game, Pontus Oberg scored a hat-trick, becoming the only player in the season to achieve this feat.

As a result, the Swedish striker became Astana's top scorer at the end of the season. Oberg has 17 goals and 20 assists. In addition to his hat-trick in the match against Neftekhimik, he also made two double-doubles over the course of the season.

Besides Pontus, Roman Starchenko, Joseph LaBate, Batyrlan Muratov, Arkadiy Shestakov, Anthony Camara and Evgeni Rymarev scored doubles.

Barys suffered its biggest defeat of the season in St. Petersburg. The meeting, held on January 24, ended with a score of 7:0 in favor of SKA.

We can't ignore the progress of Arkadiy Shestakov, who had his best season in the KHL in terms of performance. The Kazakhstan forward became Barys' second sniper (15 goals) and scored a total of 25 points. At the same time, Shestakov is the team leader in won throw-ins (59.4%) and blocked shots among forwards (54).
