The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan's Cup format and entry list changed

Due to the refusal of Riga Dynamo HC to participate in the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan's Cup 2021, it was decided to change the entry list and the tournament format.

On August 11, Barys, Kunlun, Karaganda Saryarka and Ust-Kamenogorsk Torpedo will join the trophy race. At the preliminaries, the teams will play in one round. Then, the two teams that took the first and second places at the end of the group tournament will play in the final match. There will also be a Consolation match. Money games are scheduled for August 15. 

It is worth noting that the matches of the upcoming PRKC will be held without the admission of spectators to the stands.

- Unfortunately, the management of the Riga Dynamo decided not to participate in the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan's Cup this year. This is due to that at the moment not all Dynamo players have the full course of vaccination. This means that these athletes will have to go on a 14-day self-isolation upon their return to Latvia, Boris Ivanishchev, the Barys President commented. - Therefore, we decided to invite two Kazakh teams to participate in the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan's Cup. I would like to thank the management of Saryarka and Torpedo for the positive responses. Once again, I want to assure all the participants that we will make every effort to ensure the health security of all athletes and staff during the competition.
