HC Barys has signed American goaltender Hunter Shepard. The one-way contract is valid for one season, until May 31, 2027.
The goaltender spent most of his career in the Washington organization. As a member of the Hershey Bears, Shepard won the Calder Cup twice, and in 2023 was named the AHL Playoffs MVP. Last season, Hunter played one NHL game for the Ottawa Senators, before spending the remainder of the season with the Belleville Senators and the Laval Rocket.
