KHL. Barys - Ak Bars 3-2 S

In the final game of the home series, Barys outplayed Ak Bars in a shootouts.

Dmitry Shevchenko who has returned in Barys, replaced Batyrlan Muratov in the roster of today's match. This change was the only one in Astana lineup.

But home team had the lead in the first half. Arkadiy Shestakov started the scoring during the 9th minute, scoring when the Ak Bars player was leaving the penalty box. Alex Grant reinforced Barys' lead just before halftime when the teams played a 4-on-4 format.

Nikita Boyarkin made 33 shots on goal.In the middle of the second period, Nikita Dynyak made a productive solo pass, a revelation for Barys defense and Nikita Boyarkin. Guests didn't stop there. Shortly before the final siren,  Kirill Petrov stunned the Kazakhstan audience for the second time with an excellent brush throw.

The overtime period was quite eventful, but neither team could tip the scales in their favor. In a shootout, Astana was more accurate.

Now Barys is taking a break due to a KHL All-Star Game and the Channel One Cup international tournament. Our team's next match will be on December 19. Andrei Skabelka's team will play roadstand with Neftekhimik.
