Barys played the final match of the home series with Avangard on Thursday. Coaching staff made some significant changes in lines - Roman Starchenko got into the starting line-up, while Nikita Mikhailis went to the third line of attack. Joni Ortio took the net place.
Beginning of the meeting was led by the guests, who scored twice by start of the 9th minute - goals were made by Zernov and Yakupov. Goal by Jacob Lilja closed the gap, but Avangard responded with two more accurate shots made by Emelin and Semyonov.
Dmitry Gurkov, who was playing his hundredth game in the KHL, hit Igor Bobkov's goal at the start of the third period. The final word was left for Avangard, and then Zernov scored a double - 2:5.
Barys set out on a road trip on the route Ufa – St. Petersburg. The match with Salavat Yulaev is scheduled for November 22.
