KHL. Barys - SKA. Before the match

 After a two-week quarantine, Barys resumes playing in the KHL regular season. The team played its last match in the Championship on September 14, when it lost 1-2 to CSKA Moscow in a shootout. A long pause resulted in a situation where our team fell out of the playoff zone, currently being at the 10th place in the Eastern Conference table. At the same time, Barys has a solid number of matches in reserve. Since the beginning of the season, Curtis Valk has not left the ice without points – six (2+4) points in six games. Barys resumed ice training on Saturday, having held only a few sessions before the match with CSKA players.  Linus Videll and Matt Frattin are on the cusp of scoring in the KHL. The list of injured players is empty. 

SKA arrived in Kazakhstan from Khabarovsk, where on Friday they defeated the local Amur - 3:1. Vladimir Tkachyov, Ivan Volodin and Nikita Chibrikov, the 17-year-old championship debutant, each scored a goal. It is worth noting that SKA plays its last matches with the youngest team in the League. Most of the main players of the St. Petersburg team are on the injured list – 18 players are out of the game, including Linden Vey, Miro Aaltonen, Joonas Kemppainen and Anton Burdassov. Also, Valery Bragin cannot manage the team, Lev Berdichevsky is appointed as the coach. In the Western conference table, SKA is in 2nd position, having scored 18 points in 12 games.
