KHL. Avtomobilist – Barys. Before the match

After a pause in the regular season of KHL, Barys again went on an away match. The first point of a short trip is Yekaterinburg. Tuesday Barys will play with local Avtomobilist the sixth and final game of the season. Our team approaches the upcoming match with a series of three wins in a row: the first of them was won on January 27 in Yekaterinburg (4:2), after which Neftekhimik (2:1) and Avangard (4:3) were defeated. In the Eastern Conference table, Barys is in third place, 3 points ahead of Avtomobilist: 73 points in 55 games. For the first time since autumn, the team's infirmary is empty: striker Iiro Pakarinen, as well as Viktor Svedberg, went with the team on a trip and have a chance to take part in the upcoming match.

Avtomobilist went to the international break not in the best mood after the defeat in Novosibirsk from the local Sibir' in the shootout – 2:3. None of the five attempts by the players of the Yekaterinburg team was successful. There are three players of Avtomobilist on the injured reserve: goalkeeper Jakub Kovarzh, defenders Rafael Batyrshin, and Nikolai Stassenko.
