KHL. The results of the Barys performance from ERG in March

We summarize the results of Barys' performance in the Kontinental Hockey League in March. This publication was prepared with the support of our partner – Eurasian Resources Group (ERG).

In March, Yuri Mikhailis' trainees played five matches in the kHL Eastern Conference quarterfinals. The series with the winner of the regular season Metallurg ended with a score of 4-1 in favor of the Magnitogorsk team. It is worth noting that all meetings ended during the regulation time.

Barys best sharpshooters in the playoffs were Curtis Valk and Cody Kunyk, who scored 4 (1+3) points each.

Joe Morrow became the best assistant of Kazakhstan people in the playoffs. With 4 assists, he is also the most productive defender of Barys. At the same time, Morrow spent the most time on the ice - an average of 22 minutes and 59 seconds, and recorded 9 blocked shots to his credit (the best result in the team).

The team leaders in body-checks were Yegor Petukhov and Curtis Valk. Both forwards have 8 hits on their account.

Lindan Vey and Joe Morrow forced their opponents to foul on themselves more than other Barys players. Both earned 3 power plays for their team.

Cody Kunyk became the leader of Barys in terms of the percentage of face-offs won. His asset is 56% of wins on points.

Both Barys goalkeepers could not demonstrate their best game in the playoffs and did not even reach the mark of 90% of shots turned aside. Joni Ortio managed 94 shots from 108 opponents (87%). Nikita Boyarkin has 58 saves after 65 throws (89.2%).
