KHL. Jokerit – Barys. Before the match

The regular KHL championship resumes on Tuesday after a Stellar weekend in Moscow. Barys opens an away series in Finland. Our team will play with local Jokerit on the Hartwall arena ice in Helsinki. Barys finished the home series on a high note before the break, winning three games in a row. Viktor Svedberg went on the trip as part of the team. He missed several months and was officially removed from the injured reserve. Barys captain Darren Dietz joined the team in Helsinki, flying straight from Moscow, where he took part in the all-Star Game. In the Eastern Conference table, Barys is in third position with 65 points in 49 games. Only striker Iiro Pakarinen remains on the injured reserve.  

Jokerit had a bad last game before the break for a Stellar Weekend. Lauri Maryamaki's team lost to the local SKA in Saint Petersburg-1:4. In the Western Conference table, the Finnish club is in the 4th place, having scored 65 points in 48 games.
Four games is effectively a series of forward Petri Kontiola (2+3). On the injured reserve: forward Henri Ikonen and defender Oliver Lauridsen.
This is the second meeting between Barys and Jokerit in the current regular season. In early December, Marko Anttila's double helped the Finnish team take the victory from Kazakhstan – 4:2.
