KHL. Before the match Barys – CSKA

After returning from the Far East, Barys opens a home series of matches. Astana residents will host CSKA today.

CSKA team lost to Avtomobilist in Yekaterinburg on Tuesday (2:4) and interrupted their winning streak, which consisted of five matches. Goals were scored by Nikita Nesterov and Anton Slepyshev. Goalkeeper Adam Reideborn blocked 20 shots on net. Sergey Fyodorov called this defeat humiliating and said that a coaching staff had fuel for thought now.

In 48 meetings, the Moscow team earned 67 points, which allows them to be in the top three of the Western Conference. Team's top scorer is striker Konstantin Okulov (13+21). Defender Danil Yurtaikin is on the injured reserve.

Barys earned only three points during the away tour. In the last round, Andrey Skabelka's team could not net a goal in the game with Pavel Khomchenko's team, and Barys lost to Admiral with a score of 0:3. Coach of the Kazakhstan team noted at a press conference that his players did not have enough energy, and once again they were let down by penalties.

For 50 matches, Barys scored 48 points overall. To date, this is the eighth result in the Eastern Conference. Team's top scorer Linden Vey has 33 (15+18) points. Yegor Shalapov and Nelson Nogier remain on the injured reserve. Kirill Savitsky's participation in the match is under question as well.

The meeting starts at the Barys Arena at 19:30 capital time.
