KHL. Before the match Barys - Neftekhimik

Barys' second opponent in the homestand series will be Neftekhimik. This meeting is important because both teams are contenders for the playoffs in the East.

Last week, the Nizhnekamsk club defeated Amur at home with a minimum score. The author of the puck was Vyacheslav Leshchenko. The main hero of the game became goalie Andrei Tikhomirov, who saved 31 shots on goal. Neftekhimik head trainer Oleg Leontyev says that despite the score, the game was full of beautiful combinations and scoring chances.

In 49 games, the Nizhnekamsk team scored 47 points. Anthony Camara and Vyacheslav Leshchenko (both 13+14) are the top scorers for their team. Puckstopper Emil Garipov and defenseman Maxim Goncharov are on the injured list.

Barys lost at home to CSKA on Thursday, 2-5. Anton Sagadeyev and Dmitry Shevchenko added to their sniper scores. Nikita Boyarkin made 31 saves. Emil Nurgaliyev made his KHL debut, posting 12 minutes and 21 seconds on ice, two shots on goal, blocked one shot and finished the game with a +1 assist. Andrei Skabelka said that his players lacked commitment and enthusiasm for the whole game.

Astana scored 48 points in 51 games. Linden Vey (15+19) remains the team's most productive player. Yegor Shalapov left on the injured list, Nelson Nogier is still recovering from his injury.

This season, Barys has lost to Neftekhimik in two of three faceoffs.
