KHL. Before the match CSKA – Barys

Barys opens the first away series of the season in Moscow. Today, the Kazakh team will play with one of the leaders of the Western Conference – CSKA.

The Moscow team started the season decently and won four matches out of five in the championship debut. In the last round, CSKA defeated Lokomotiv at home - 3:1. The first goal in the new team was scored by ex-defender of Barys, Viktor Svedberg, Lucas Wallmark and Matvey Guskov scored once each in the winner team. A good match was played by goalkeeper Ivan Fedotov, who reflected 36 shots. The coach of the Moscovites, Sergey Fedorov, was satisfied with the actions of his wards, especially taking into account the series of injuries of the main squad players.

Barys is still in search of its own game. On Saturday, the team of Yuri Mikhailis lost to Spartak on home ice, while the hosts again could not organize more than one effective attack (Arkady Shestakov scored). At a press conference, Yuri Mikhailis complained about the large number of fails in transfers and losses in the middle zone.

Before the match with Barys, the defender Bogdan Kisselevich, as well as forwarders Mikhail Grigorenko, Pavel Karnaukhov, Andrey Svetlakov and Nikita Soshnikov were listed on the CSKA injured list (as of September 13). Roman Starchenko is the only one on the injured list of Barys. He went on a trip with the team, but a decision on his participation in the matches will be made later.

Defender Joe Morrow has joined the team, who has passed all the necessary procedures and can make his debut in the Nur-Sultan team today.
