In the final game of the road trip series, Barys defeated Neftekhimik in overtime.

Alikhan Asetov and Maxim Musorov were left out of the list. Tamirlan Gaitamirov and Mikhail Rakhmanov returned to the roster. In the opening period Nizhnekamsk spectators saw three shots on goal. Rafael Bikmullin opened the scoring by successfully playing on the other team's slot zone and crossing the puck into the gates. Less than a minute later, Pontus Oberg caught home team goaltender Filipp Dolganov off guard with a shot from a sharp angle. But Neftekhimik went into the break in the lead as Alexander Dergachev converted a power play.

The second period passed under the dictation of the Astana players, who controlled the puck and forced the opponents to dismiss. This resulted in two power play goals. Oberg scored a double after a great pass from Riley Barber. A little later, Kirill Savitsky put the puck in the goal after a skip from the blue line.

Dergachev and Bikmullin turned the game around again in the beginning of the third period in a minute and a half. But quite quickly Oberg completed his hat-trick and levelled the score. It didn't take long for the scoreboard to become even. Evgeny Mityakin forced the coaching staff to replace Edward Pasquale with Andrei Shutov. However, the hosts failed to maintain the advantage. Samat Daniyar put an end to a massive Barys attack.

The game went into overtime, where Riley Barber's masterful shot into the far nine decided everything. Barys won a road trip game for the first time in the season. Andrei Skabelka's wards will play Admiral in Astana on 28 September.
