KHL. Before the Barys vs Admiral game

Barys and Admiral will hold the second meeting in a month in the capital of Kazakhstan.

On Monday, Leonid Tambiyev's wards ended their home series with a 1-2 loss to SKA. Tyler Graovac was the author of the only puck in the St. Petersburg team's gate. Goaltender Pavel Khomchenko deflected 40 shots. The Vladivostok coach noted that he had nothing to reproach his guys for, and the skill of the opponents played an important role in the match.

In nine games, the Admirals have earned six points. The team's top scorer is forward Daniil Gutik (4+6). Alexander Shevchenko (2+1) has scored points in three consecutive games. Defenceman Evgeny Lisovets and forward Anton Berlev are on the injured list.

Barys defeated Neftekhimik 6-5 in overtime on the road last round. Pontus Oberg had a hat trick, while Kirill Savitsky and Samat Daniyar scored their first goals of the season. Riley Barber (1+3 in the game) and David Sklenicka (0+3) extended their scoring streaks to five games. Andrei Skabelka noted the importance of this win and his team's fairly successful high-pressing performance.

The team from Astana has nine points after ten meetings. Riley Barber (5+11), along with Nikolay Goldobin (8+8) from Spartak, tops the list of the KHL's most productive players. He is also the league's top assister. Second on the list is David Sklenicka (1+10), who leads the defencemen-bombers race. Pontus Oberg with seven goals is in the top-6 snipers of the championship. Batyrlan Muratov is off the injured list, while defenceman Alex Grant and forward Dmitry Gurkov remain on it. Roman Starchenko continues his recovery from injury.

The first meeting between Barys and Admiral this season ended with a 4-3 victory for Kazakhstan team.
