Nikita Boyarkin, goalkeeper of Barys

- In general, the tournament was good and interesting. All the teams were strong. There were no easy matches with anyone, everyone clung on, wanted to win. For me personally it was not essential to beat Saryarka, but it was interesting to play against the team I was in for a long time. I am glad that we won the Cup, it is always pleasant and positive emotions that will help us in the upcoming games. We are slowly finding mutual understanding with our partners, especially since I have recently improved my English. Now I can help the others. But there is still a lot of work to do, there is still enough time before the season. We will work out the moments in defense, in offense. I hope we will approach the KHL championship in well conditioned.

Dmitry Molodtsov, defender of Saryarka

- The tournament went very well for our team. We got a useful experience playing with strong KHL teams. We saw our pros and cons, what we need to work on. It is very good we played at this tournament. Playing with Barys in the final, I don't think it was necessary to bench much, as they capitalize on the power play very effectively. Calls were due to the lack of time. We tried, tried to consolidate, but we couldn't.

It's good to be chosen as the best defender, but I want to say that all the guys played well, they all did well. If we had played poorly, there would have been a different result. Now, after the weekend, we will prepare for the Kazakhstan Hockey Cup.

Sergey Golodnyuk, forwarder of Saryarka

- We had a pretty good tournament. All the guys who joined us did very well. I am satisfied with the team's result. I can’t say it was hard to play with the KHL teams, unless, in tactical terms, there’s something to work on. I don't think we were inferior in physical condition. Saryarka got acquainted with these teams, now we know what it is to play in the KHL.

It's always nice to get the best player. This is a kind of small incentive to continue working. I am grateful to the organizers of the tournament for the opportunity to play and for good gifts. Now we will have a little rest and then will intensively prepare for the Kazakhstan Hockey Cup.

It's good for us to win the home tournament. We lost in the first match, but then we took revenge against Saryarka in the final. This team is constantly working on the ice, playing at high speeds, the guys are well trained. Our team has played some good matches, and we are already getting some moments. It's nice to play with such partners, we very quickly found common ground. We will try to improve our cooperation even more before the start of the regular KHL season.
