Romazan Cup. Pre-game: Barys vs. Salavat Yulaev

Barys continues their run at the Romazan Memorial Tournament with a matchup against Salavat Yulaev.

Yesterday, Astana—playing with an experimental roster—fell to Metallurg 1:2. The lone goal for Barys was scored by Semyon Simonov. Goalie Artem Shestakov made 27 saves. It was also a debut at this level for Vyacheslav Kolesnikov and Matvey Reshetko, while Dmitry Breus played his first game in a Barys jersey.

Salavat Yulaev opened the tournament in Magnitogorsk with a confident 5:2 win over Metallurg. The Ufa side got goals from Maxim Kuznetsov, Alexander Zharovsky, Egor Suchkov, and Ilya Fedotov, who scored twice—including an empty-netter. Goalie Alexander Samonov recorded 38 saves.
