Former defenceman of Barys and the national team of Kazakhstan Maxim Semenov joined the coaching staff of the first team. Semenov will be responsible for working with defencemen in Barys.
The native of Ust-Kamenogorsk has played more than 900 games in the Russian Superleague and Kontinental Hockey League during his career.
In 2011, he won the Asian Games as a member of the national team of Kazakhstan, and reached the final of the Gagarin Cup with Atlant team (Mytishchi) .
Since 2013, he played for Barys.
