Barys’ Junior Team Moves Into First Place in the Jastar Ligasy

Today, Barys hosted the league’s interim leader, Karmet, on home ice. The game went to overtime, where Amir Gafurov buried the winner to secure two points for the hosts. Rasul Tursynov, Zhakhanger Tleukhan, and Tair Bigarinov — who scored twice — also added to their goal totals. Goaltender Arseniy Kuchkovskiy stopped 20 shots.

With this result, Andrei Shayanov’s team pulled level with the Temirtau side in the standings. Thanks to tiebreakers, Barys now holds the top spot. The teams will meet again tomorrow on Block B of Barys Arena.
