Barys forward Tomas Jurco, who is currently playing in the Slovak national team at the hockey tournament within the Beijing Olympics, earned the first points for his great performance.
In the middle of the opening period, Tomas helped to open the scoring for his teammate Martin Marincic. A second before the final siren, Yurcho set the result of meeting by hitting opponent's empty goal (5:2). The Slovak national team won the first victory at the tournament and took third place in Group C.
