Yaroslav Tsulygin, Sheldon Rempal, and Joshua Leivo found the back of the net, with Leivo scoring his 48th goal, tying Sergei Mozyakin’s record for most goals in a single regular season. Goaltender Alexander Samonov made 30 saves. Head coach Viktor Kozlov highlighted his team’s strong penalty-killing performance, especially against such a formidable opponent.

Through 67 games, Salavat Yulaev has accumulated 91 points. The aforementioned Leivo is not only the league’s top goal scorer but also its leading point producer (48+30). Goaltender Semyon Vyazovoy ranks second in the league in goals-against average (1.82) and save percentage (93.7%). Forwards Danil Alalykin and Gleb Kuzmin are currently sidelined with injuries.

Barys suffered an 0:8 defeat to Ak Bars on Thursday in Astana. The home team registered 19 shots on target but failed to convert any. Artem Shestakov recorded 33 saves. Head coach Galym Mambetaliev noted that after conceding the second goal, his team started making uncharacteristic mistakes.

The Kazakhstani club remains at 35 points after 67 games. Dinmukhamed Kaiyrzhan is preparing to return to action following an illness.
