Before the Match: Kulager vs Nomad


The capital team begins its December road trip in Petropavlovsk.

Kulager wrapped up its recent road series with games in Almaty, where the team earned two victories. In the first match, a 3–1 win, the goals were scored by German Shaporev, Maksim Bazanov, and Yan Khomenko. In the second encounter, a 5–3 victory, Yan Khomenko once again added to his personal tally, while Dmitry Ismagilov, Aleksandr Svoevolin, Aleksandr Vorobyov, and Roman Kovalenko also found the back of the net.

Heading into the matchup against the Astana side, Kulager sits fifth in the standings of the regular season’s interim stage, with 42 points from 32 games.

Nomad players, meanwhile, recently took part in the Asian Championship in Beijing, where they captured the title by defeating all declared opponents. In the regular season, November concluded for them with road games in Ust-Kamenogorsk, where they split points with Torpedo. In the first game, the “Nomads” claimed a 4–2 victory, with goals scored by Sayan Daniyar, Dias Guseynov, Oleg Boyko, and Ruslan Ospanov. In the second matchup, Torpedo applied strong pressure, and Nomad fell 2–5. Oleg Boyko and Abay Mangisbayev scored for the capital team.

As of today, Nomad occupies second place in the standings with 48 points from 28 games.
