Barys will play their final game of the 2025–26 KHL regular season in Novosibirsk.
Sibir, who have already clinched a playoff spot and know their first-round opponent (Metallurg, the Continental Cup winners), picked up a solid 4–1 win over SKA at home last game despite missing several key players. Goals came from Ilya Fedotov, Ilya Talaluyev, the team’s leading scorer Anton Kosolapov (17+20), and Mikhail Abramov. Goalie Anton Krasotkin made 29 saves.
Through 67 regular-season games, head coach Yaroslav Luzenkov’s squad has collected 67 points. Forwards Valentin Pyanov, Pavel Tkachenko, and Sergey Shirokov remain sidelined with injuries.
Barys, meanwhile, suffered a second straight loss to Admiral in Astana on Monday (2–6). Tyce Thompson extended his point streak to five games, and Alikhan Asetov matched his personal KHL scoring record. Riley Walsh reached the 30-assist mark this season and remains tied with Michael Vecchione (19+26) atop the team’s scoring race. Goalie Nikita Boyarkin stopped 24 shots.
The Kazakh side heads into its final game of the season with 53 points. Ansar Shaikhmeddenov, Emil Galimov, and Maksim Mukhametov will miss the matchup in Novosibirsk due to medical reasons.
Faceoff for Sibir vs. Barys is set for 17:30 Astana time.
