Barys opens the final road series of November with a meeting with Traktor.

The natives of Chelyabinsk started November fairly well, but then suffered two consecutive defeats. In the last round, Traktor lost to Salavat Yulaev (3-4) in a thrilling game on home ice. Maxim Shabanov scored on his first shift and set a club record for consecutive games with 10 points. The 23-year-old from Traktor surpassed the achievements of Lukas Sedlak and Petri Kontiola, who scored points in nine games. Vitaly Kravtsov and Sergei Telegin also added to their sniper totals. The home team's goalie Nikita Podskrebalin turned away 23 shots on goal.

Alexey Zavarukhin's team earned 35 points in 30 games, which puts the team comfortably in the playoff zone. Maxim Shabanov (13+10) is the Ural team's top sniper and scorer. Goaltender Sergei Mylnikov and forwards Vladimir Zharkov and Andrei Chibisov are on the injured reserve.

On Sunday, Barys confidently defeated Severstal at home (4:1) and broke its losing streak. Batyrlan Muratov (5+6 so far) had a spectacular game, scoring all of Astana's goals. Adil Beketayev (3+7) and Kirill Savitsky (6+5) also scored a goal each. All three passed the ten-point mark in the current championship. Arkady Shestakov has crossed the 50-point mark in the KHL. Edward Pasquale managed 25 shots on goal. Daniil Apalkov played his first game in Astana's jersey.

The Kazakhstani team has 25 points after 31 meetings. Riley Barber (10+13) remains the team's top scorer. Roman Starchenko is out of the infirmary and is preparing to play his first game after injury. Rookies Anthony Kamara and Evgeny Rymarev are also likely to appear in the lineup. Samat Daniyar won't help Barys in the current road series. He's back on the injured reserve, which includes another defenseman, Alex Grant.

In the first face-to-face match of the season, Barys outplayed Traktor (2:1) in the capital of Kazakhstan. It should be noted that this was Galym Mambetaliyev's first match as acting head coach.

Kickoff on the ice of the Traktor Arena at 20:00 Astana time.

Live broadcast will be available on KHL and Qazsport TV channels.
