Today, the Astana-based team played their final home game of the 2024/25 MHL season, facing off against the team from Krasnoyarsk. After a hard-fought overtime win the day before, the hosts couldn’t repeat the success, falling 1–4.

From the opening minutes, the visitors took control. Egor Lazarev opened the scoring, followed by a pair from Amir Masandilov, extending his team’s lead. Lazarev struck again in the second period, completing the second brace of the game for the Krasnoyarsk side.

Despite generating several dangerous chances, the hosts could only convert once — team captain Kirill Kankin found the net with assists from Asanali Ruslanuly and Alisher Sarkenov. Following the goal, the Barsy ramped up the pressure, leading to more physical play and penalties. However, the scoreline didn’t change in the final period, and the teams finished the series with a win apiece.

Next, Andrey Shayanov’s squad heads out on a short road trip to the home of the Rysi.
