Six teams will compete for the Kazakhstan Championship medals this season: Tomiris, Aisulu, Torpedo, Gracia, Zhuldyz and Almaty. As in the previous season, the teams will play home and away games rather than competing in separate tournament rounds, following the format used in the Pro and Jastar Ligasy championships.
The championship will consist of two stages. During the first stage, the regular season, each team will play 20 games. The top teams will then advance to the final stage.
The first stage will begin on October 24. On that day, last season’s finalists Aisulu and Tomiris will meet in Almaty. Tomiris’ final regular-season game is scheduled for April 2, when Alexander Tebenekov’s side will face Torpedo.
The final stage will begin on April 13. Its results will determine the final standings of the championship. The top four teams will first compete in the semifinals, followed by series for third place and the championship title.
All playoff series will be played in a best-of-three format.
