Barys and Dynamo started UTLC Ice Cup with confident victories

UTLC Ice Cup 2024, the fourth international ice hockey tournament, started today at Barys Arena.

Nazar Shumsky became the author of the first puck at the tournament. The Dynamo Minsk forward scored a shot from the right circle of the throw-in. After that, the rated hosts converted two more chances with efforts from Vladislav Karpenko and Matvei Karankevich.

Vladimir Stepanov, who scored the Humo's debut puck, shook his team up a bit. However, the Minskers got back into the game in time and created a decisive gap in the score. In the final third, the rivals exchanged goals, but it did not affect the final result.

The final siren recorded a confident victory for Dynamo. Vladimir Stepanov and Matvei Karankevich were the best players of the game.

The opening ceremony of the tournament was also held today. Among the honored guests of the event were Alexei Grom, General Director of UTLC ERA JSC, Saidikram Niyazkhodzhaev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Republic of Kazakhstan, Dmitry Zorin, Minister Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yuri Melnik, Chairman of the Board of RTS Holding Timur Karabayev, Alexei Mamontov, Executive Director of the Kazakhstan Hockey Federation, Boris Ivan, General Director of Barys Hockey Club

In the second match of the game day of the international tournament UTLC Ice Cup Barys and GLC met. The tournament hosts had a good start, but the Astana team managed to upset their opponents only once - Erasyl Turar scored. But in the second twenty minutes, Barys produced an impactful stretch, during which four pucks went in the Beijing team's goal. In fact, this spurt was the decisive one in the match. In the final third, the score gap only grew.

Vladimir Logvin's wards start their tournament journey with a confident victory. Erasyl Turar, recognized as the best player of the team, was marked with a score. For the GLC, Hu Qirui was named the player of the meet.
