"Army SKA" and "Lokomotiv" won their first matches at the UTLC Ice Cup

UTLC Ice Cup 2024, the fourth international hockey tournament, is being held at Barys Arena. Today was the resting day for Barys competition hosts.

The afternoon session was opened by "Army SKA" and "Humo". In fact, the winner was determined already in the first period. St. Petersburg team presented dynamic period and gave the hard time to the opponents eight times before the break. It should be noted that Timur Kazakov made a natural hat trick, and that took a little more than ten minutes for the striker. Later, the score increased further. "Army SKA" won its first game in the tournament, and "Humo" lost its chances to get to semifinals of the tournament.

The favorites of the entire tournament from Yaroslavl scored 13 times in the gates of opponents in the first period. In the future, the Russian team realized all its attacking potential and calmly achieved its first victory at the 2024 tournament. Lokomotiv striker Filipp Vychugzhanin recorded six scoring shots.
