On the night of January 13-14, Barys returned to Nur-Sultan. Let us remind, last days the team was in Podolsk, where it was preparing for a duel with «Vityaz». However, due to the identification of players and staff with positive PCR tests in the host camp, the meeting was canceled. Earlier, the KHL announced the cancellation of all games from January 15 until the Olympic break.

- The last few days have been unusual for us. We were ready to hold matches in Nizhny Novgorod and Podolsk. At the same time, I want to say that the guys are now in good physical condition despite all the recent events. But we understand that in such situation it is necessary first of all to take care of the health of the players, coaches, staff, all the people who are involved during the matches. So everyone reacted with understanding to the news about the forced pause.
Now we have given the guys some time to rest. Then we will definitely pass PCR tests and we will train in Nur-Sultan. We are waiting for the schedule from the League, based on the presented calendar, we will focus further.
