Women’s IIHF Division I World Championship. Kazakhstan – Latvia 2:3 SO

In their opening game of the Division I Group B World Championship, Kazakhstan lost to Latvia in a shootout.

Kazakhstan goals were scored by Sofia Muravyeva and Alexandra Shegay, while goaltender Arina Shchyokolovastopped 38 shots on goal.

The team coached by Alexander Tebenkov will face the Netherlands next. The game is scheduled for April 13 at 19:30.
