Barys hockey club celebrates its birthday on November 26! The Barys team was formed on November 26, 1999, and has been a regular participant of the Kontinental Hockey League Championship since 2008. The club also has professional teams such as Nomad, Snezhnye Barsy, women's team Tomiris, youth teams YHC Barys and YHC Barys-ZHAS. More than 700 children are involved in the club's youth school.
Barys is a flagship of hockey development in the Republic of Kazakhstan, having a wide fan base both in the country and abroad.
"This year is unusual and difficult for Barys, our teams have to play without constant support of fans in the stands of Barys Arena. However, we feel this support from people who send messages, call and regularly watch their TV to cheer for the team in the next KHL match.
