Barys held a master class for children from the Akkol orphanage

The event, organised jointly with the public foundation "Do Good with Me", was held at Barys Arena with the help of the Support of the Tourism and Sports Industry. Barys players Andrei Shutov, Daniil Kudimov, Kirill Savitski, Arkadiy Shestakov, Daniil Apalkov, Batyrlan Muratov, Evgeni Rymarev and Roman Starchenko, as well as representatives of the training staff Talgat Zhailauov and Konstantin Pushkaryov took part in the masterclass.

As part of the session, the pupils of the Akkol orphanage, together with professional players, performed several exercises, played a traditional two-way game and also took part in a photo shoot. At the end of the master class the guests received memorable gifts from Barys and the Kazakhstan Hockey Federation, and also visited the Museum of Kazakhstan Hockey.

- The main goal is to show the kids how things work here from the professional side. Children practised on the same ice with players of Barys and Kazakhstan national team, could communicate with their idols, learn something new. Of course, it's an inexpressible emotion. We have previously held such events with the club, they even came to Accol. We hope that our co-operation will continue.

- Unlike the season right now, we don't have an overly busy schedule. So there is time to take part in such events, to show the kids the arena, our training. And not only to show, they also took part in it. These are the exercises we usually do in class. I was actually surprised that they all skate pretty well, know how to work the puck. When the 1-in-0 was committed, everyone was running, beating, throwing. Overall it's a good cause, children's hockey needs to be developed. "Barys" always tries to participate in such events, sometimes even travelling to other cities whenever possible. I think everyone enjoyed themselves today.
