Barys Edge Sibir in Low-Scoring Affair

Barys opened their nine-game road trip in Novosibirsk. The visitors made no changes to their lineup following the previous game against Avtomobilist.

The opening period saw a slight advantage for the hosts, who had two power-play opportunities. However, it was Barys who appeared to score first. Following a challenge from the Sibir coaching staff, the officials disallowed Justin Bailey's goal due to goaltender interference earlier in the play.

In the second period, the visitors successfully killed off two more penalties before evening out the play and forcing their opponents to take penalties of their own. Ultimately, a single goal decided the game. In the third period, Mason Morelli got his stick on Logan Day's shot to redirect the puck into the net.

Andrei Shutov recorded his second shutout of the season, making 31 saves.

On October 19, Mikhail Kravets' team will face Amur in Khabarovsk.
