Barys Become Six-Time Jastar Ligasy Champions

The seventh and decisive game of the Jastar Ligasy Finals between Karmet and Barys took place in Temirtau.

Just under four minutes into the game, the Astana team opened the scoring as Zhakhanger Tileukhan capitalized on a rebound. Late in the opening period, Rakhimbek Meyirman doubled Barys’ lead with a power-play goal. Early in the second frame, Andrey Tserulnikov added a third goal past Karmet goaltender Alexey Zyuzin.

The home side cut into the deficit in the third period, with Timofey Simonov scoring twice. However, the Astana squad held firm defensively in the closing minutes to secure the victory and claim its sixth Jastar Ligasy title in club history.
