Barys Win Third Straight Game

Barys continued their road trip in Vladivostok. Alikhan Asetov returned to the Astana lineup after serving a one-game suspension.

The visitors had a solid opening period, controlling the play, but neither team managed to score. Admiral’s best chance came when Libor Šulák hit the post with a shot.

The game changed in the second period, with the hosts taking control of the puck. However, Barys defended well and capitalized on one of their few opportunities. Jake Massie produced an incredible rush, beating four opponents in a row before setting up Max Willman for the opening goal.

Nikita Tertyshny, with the help of Samat Daniyar’s stick, ended Nikita Boyarkin’s shutout streak at 135 minutes and 57 seconds. Nevertheless, the victory went to the Kazakh side. The decisive goal in a 4-on-4 situation was scored by Tyce Thompson. Boyarkin finished the game with 31 saves.

On March 13, Mikhail Kravets’ team will face Admiral again.
