IIHF Head Luke Tardif visited Barys Arena

President of the International Ice Hockey Federation Luke Tardif and President of the Kazakhstan Hockey Federation Askar Mamin visited the Barys Arena today. The head of the IIHF explored the infrastructure of the palace, and was on the match opening of the championship of Kazakhstan between "Snow Leopards" and "Arlan".

Should note that yesterday Akorda Tardif was hosted by the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. They discussed the prospects for developing and popularizing ice hockey, as well as holding major international tournaments in our country. Particular attention during the conversation was paid to the possibilities of sports infrastructure. In this context, the head of state noted that Kazakhstan is ready to host the FIFA World Cup in 2027, if the application is approved by the voting scheduled in May 2023.
