Barys announces the signing of a contract with Kirill Panyukov. The one-way agreement with the Kazakh forward is for one season.
Most of his career the graduate of the capital's hockey school spent within the Barys system. Later the forward played for Ak Bars Kazan, Avangard Omsk, and Amur Khabarovsk, to which Panyukov was traded during the last season. With the Far East team Kirill managed to play 36 games (including 5 in the playoffs), recording 7 points (3 goals + 4 assists).
In the second half of August the player was with the Kazakhstan national team and participated in the Olympic qualification tournament in Bratislava.
