Neftekhimik - Barys 3:2

Barys lost to Neftekhimik in the final away game of 2023.

Alikhan Assetov and Tamirlan Gaitamirov replaced Mikhail Rakhmanov and Dmitry Gurkov in the lineup. The start of the meeting turned out to be discouraging for the guests. Already in the first shift Evgeny Mityakin took advantage of a lucky broken play and coolly realized a breakaway with Edward Pasquale. And in the middle of the period Andrei Belozyorov intercepted the puck in another's zone, after which Alexander Dergachyov hit the target with a shot from a sharp angle.

Daniil Apalkov brought Astana back into the game at the start of the second twenty minutes. In general, the period passed with Barys' game advantage, but the guests were able to upset the Nizhnekamsk crowd only once. In the final third, Kirill Urakov punished the opponent for a mistake in his own zone, and that puck was the game-winner. In the last minute, Astana reduced the score gap to a minimum with an empty net through Anthony Kamara's efforts, but it was not enough for the players in white uniforms to do more.
